This Irish team has plenty of offshore experience and
has raced in a V24 for the past two seasons. Dermot is
driving this weekend without John Ryan, his usual partner.
Work commitments have kept John away but former Class
1 driver, Neil Holmes joins Dermot as navigator for this
race.

Shelley JORY

Gavin BROWN
Shelley has had a highly successful powerboating career
since her first race in 1996
including 3rd place in the 2002 2litre World Championships
in Cape Town and 4th
place in the 2000 European Championships.
Gavin teams up with Shelley for the
first time this season having previously raced in RIBs
taking 2nd place in the Nationals in 2002. They finished
second in their first outing in the V24 at Ramsgate
a few weeks ago.

Ricky HILL

Alan LAYTON
With over 20 years racing experience, Ricky (former
European 2 litre Champion) and Alan teamed up just three
years ago and went on to win numerous honours on the
British and European circuits. They have had two races
in the V24 this season finishing with a win in Ramsgate
and 3rd overall in Torquay.

Tom POWELL
Navigator
David LANGMEAD
Tom is awaiting delivery of his own boat and so has
taken a 'borrowed' ride in V24 for this first race.
With a long family history in offshore powerboating,
Tom certainly has the right racing pedigree but does
not have the race experience of some of the other drivers.
In his first season racing three years ago, he was named
as the Season's Most Promising Driver.
David had never sat in an offshore
powerboat until this year! Hopefully a love of speed
and adrenalin will see him in good stead but this will
be a baptism of fire for his racing navigation skills!

Pete LITTLE

Dave ARTHUR
Pete and Dave have raced for the past 13 years having
started in OCR and they are now the four times World
Champions in offshore racing and hold many speed titles.
Having switched from 6 litre to V24 this season, this
accomplished team will certainly be looking to
make it's mark on this new championship.

Richard CARR
Navigator
James SYDENHAM
A very experienced race driver, Richard will be out
to win this season. Having raced on the international
circuit in Class 1, the V24 Championship is his latest
powerboating challenge.
James started racing aged 18 with twin
brother Matt in 1.3 and 2 litre classes, James is ready
for some serious racing in V24 this season. The highlight
of his boating career to date was throwing the Spice
Girls over the side of a Sunseeker!
