The V24 Championship race
due to be held in Arendal, Norway, was held as a no points
invitation race due to 3 of the V24s being held up in transport
when Fjiord Line ferries overbooked and they were not able
to get on board. The six boats which arrived in Arendal for
the Friday evening race agreed unanimously to run a no points
race and to make the Sunday race part of the European Championship
instead. The V24 Championship race will now be held at a later
date and only those teams who went to Norway will be eligible
for points.
The V24 Championship race due to be held in Cowes,
Isle of Wight, was cancelled due to bad weather.
